Why clients need more

Your clients need more than a headshot.

A good headshot is only the beginning. Your headshot introduces you. The rest of your photos help clients get to know you.

Planning your photos

What kind of photos should a therapist have on their website?

Not dozens. The right images, in the right places. Pick a page to see where the photos go.

The hero portrait

One confident, approachable image of you at the top of the page. It carries the first three seconds of trust.

“I don’t know how to pose.”

You don’t have to. Most of the session is conversation, movement and small prompts that get you out of your head. Here’s the kind of thing you might hear.

Look out the window as if you are thinking about a client who just made real progress.

Client Love

Hodan Osman, Registered Social Worker
She was professional, warm, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. She paid close attention to everything I shared about my brand and used it thoughtfully to bring my vision to life. It’s clear she’s deeply passionate about her work; her talent, knowledge, and patience shines through in every detail.

Amanda Kennedy, Kennedy Consulting
This was my second time working with Gina, and I loved it just as much as the first. She took real care beforehand to understand me, my role, my work, and what I wanted my images to communicate. While in-studio, her warm, funny and naturally observant nature made me feel comfortable in front of the camera.

FAQ

Questions therapists often ask about brand photography

A headshot shows your face. Brand photography shows who you are and the way you work, so a client can feel what a session with you will be like.

Yes. The session is guided from start to finish, and most of it is conversation and movement. You are never asked to hold a pose you do not feel like yourself in.

Yes. We can intentionally create a strong profile image for Psychology Today as part of your session, along with additional images for your website, social media, directories, newsletters and other marketing.

Sessions are typically one to two hours, depending on the package you choose. Your final brand images are retouched and delivered within 10-15 business days after your final selections.

Yes. Photographing in your actual therapy space can help potential clients know what to expect when they arrive, and a studio gives us more freedom to build imagery around your personality and brand. During the planning process we will look at where your images will be used and choose locations that help tell that story.
